Do not vote Trump if you love your country!

Did the Donald get his butt ripped or what? If you Trump supporters think Trump University is no big deal then I suggest you dig into it a read up on it. Now put yourself in the position of the people who lost their money. If you tell yourself "it serves them right", or "I would not fall for that" and still support Trump then you are falling for it.
I served in the armed forces of this country like my father, family members, and friends. I believe in maintaining a strong military that is headed by a Commander-in-Chief that knows when and when not to use military force. To me that means a president who listens to his advisors, especially those in Uniform. Now when a person says he does not care what the military thinks but wants to implement his own will contrary to sound strategy and orders "just do it" you have someone who does not care about the service members or families but just sees them as cannon fodder. Giving ones life for ones fellow man is most noble, but sacrificing lives for one's ego is pure idiocity.
I am not asking you to support Hillary but I will let you know supporting Trump will put her in the White House. Though Trump has Republican numbers right now they do not reflect reality. Trump's numbers are because of a severely fractured Republican Party. If the party was not in such chaos another candidate would probably be leading. From reading news from all over the net I can tell you come election time many will cross party lines to vote for Hillary, even well known Republicans. I know many hate Hillary Clinton, but don't let that hate lead you to vote Trump. I am not a Hillary fan because of her handling of confidential material and other sensitive matters during her time as Secretary of State. I saw guys busted down for miss handling less classified material in the military.
You want to keep Hillary out of the White House and put in a Republican? Then can Trump and come together behind one candidate, show how to overcome adversity and unite, only then will you have a chance.
One last thing. You want to know why Donald Trump has not be charged for fraud and racketeering by this administration (Democrat) for Trump University or other dealings? Why should they? Trump as the Republican nominee is as good as giving Hillary the Whitehouse and control of congress in the future.
Who am I voting for President? The best candidate for the job. It is not, and never will be, Donald Trump!

Trump talking smack about the NFL.

Donald Trump giving the NFL crap about being "soft" because penalties for head to head hits. Yeah Mr. Trump chump maybe more players should suffer long term brain damage, become paralyzed, or die just for your viewing pleasure. Maybe families of players should suffer watching their loved ones fall apart after the player retires so someone like you can enjoy it or profit from it? Maybe you want to see more families like Junior Seau's go through hell so you can watch a good game?
You talk about being tough and talk smack but you are nothing more than a rich man's draft dodging son in a business suit. The closest you have ever come to handling a football on the field is foundling your tiny testicles in the shower.

PNW seismic activity and my theory.

So the Pacific Northwest has been having quite a few tremors lately, mainly under the north part of the Olympic Peninsula and the Straits of Juan De Fuca. The seismologists say it is associated with a slow slip deep in the subduction zone. This has been happening every 14 months since the 1990's. Now logically it follows that if you have movement of part of the subducted plate deep down you should have some movement, or at least a corresponding tension build up along the shallower depth along the subduction zone. Since I have not read anything about movement on the Cascadia subduction zone I can only assume the tension has increased by the same amount of energy as released by the past tremors combined and then some. The question now is how much tension can be stored before it overcomes the friction of the two plates and releases all the stored energy in one massive earthquake? How close our we to that number?
I will tell you that when it happens it will be at least an 8.0 moment of magnitude quake, most likely a 9.0 +. If you thought the Japan quake and the Indian Ocean quakes were bad this could surpass them and generate a serious tsunami that will hit the Pacific coast mere minutes after the quake.

The proper way to change in government.

I think Todd is trying to see what people think of the situation. I do not support taking up arms against the government because you have a beef with them; neither did the founding fathers. In the early days of our country under the constitution, a group of people became upset on the tax on a product they produced and took up arms in protest. The President, George Washington, led the Army as commander and chief to put it down, it was called the Whiskey Rebellion. Keep in mind George Washington himself produced whiskey.
The second amendment was not put into place so that people could rise up every time the government did something they didn't like, it was put in place to act as a way of generating a force to protect the country as the country did not have a large standing army at the time. No one really wanted a large standing army for fear it could be used as a tool to take over the government. I still believe in the second amendment right to bear arms because one still needs to protect their family and hunt if they so choose.
Many use Thomas Jefferson's "The Tree of Liberty needs to be watered with the Blood of Tyrants" to justify taking up arms against the government. I got news for you. Thomas Jefferson, was in France as a representative of the United States at the writing of the Constitution. If this was on purpose I do not know. I do know many considered him far to radical though he did have great ideas on Liberty.
The founding fathers set up a representative democracy to handle "a change in government " to avoid future armed rebellion when the people became dissatisfied with the government. The problem is not the Constitution, it is just there are too many special interest groups with big money that have the ear of our representatives and the president and not the actual people. This is the system that needs to be addressed. Why is the BLM after land and wanting to enforce an agenda that is overly influenced by environmentalists? Because the environmentalist have the money, money they get from Hollywood types who think they know better because they read a pamphlet on "the spotted owl" or something. You want to stop the BLM or over reaching government rules? then change the lobbying system, campaign finance, and if that cannot be done, pool your money together and lobby the government with your views. The pen is mightier than the sword! If it were not so then this country would not exist.

Stop cutting on law enforcement officers

I feel sorry for our law enforcement officers here in America and here is why.
Our law enforcement officers have many function but I guess you can say the top two are enforcing the laws and to keep people safe. Most, most if not all, law enforcement officers probably consider keeping people safe the number one priority. I have never seen an officer take this lightly. These are people you call when stuff is going down. These are the people who do there best to save others by putting themselves in the line of fire.
I feel sorry for law enforcement because many times they are under appreciated or blamed for something happening because they weren't right there when called. Now they have to put up with criticism of how they do their job when facing a dangerous situation. People scream murder if an officer shoots a person carrying a knife and acting in a threatening manner. They argue that the knife is not deadly enough to justify the carrier being shot. Sorry folks, a knife can kill you just ass dead as a gun. To let a person just keep going with a dangerous weapon puts not just the officers life in danger but others as well.
What would I do facing a knife wielding suspect? I am not a law enforcement officer but I did serve in the navy and received small arms and security force training. In the situation I would probably aim for center mass and fire. Why not shoot the knife out of his hand or wing the person? This is real life and not the movies. Let's say you try to shoot the knife and miss. Well depending how far away you are or others are to the suspect you will probably get cut or stabbed. Crazy moves fast and is now pissed off at you so they are going to want to draw blood. Now you have to think fast and change your aim (if you couldn't hit the knife when the target was stationary you sure are not going to hit it when it is flailing around) by the time you shift your aim the suspect is right on top of you and you are now wishing you aimed for center mass in the first place.
Now how many shots would I use? Enough to put the person down hard. You just cannot risk the lives of your comrades and innocents. The suspect would probably die, and any death is sad, but once a person takes up a weapon and uses it in a threatening manner they put their own life in jeopardy.
Now there may have been cases, and probably will be cases, when an officer makes a bad decision, but the majority will not. Most officers act to save lives and have and will give their own lives in the process. They do this so you and your loved ones stay safe.

Protect our citizens

Ok President Obama, do you still want to take in Syrian refugees? Probably not a good idea, look at how background checks did not work to keep a person who swore allegiance to ISIS out of our country. Unless you have some super duper mind reading machine there is no way to screen everyone effectively enough to ensure " our citizens " are safe from future acts of terrorism. And the attitude that this is something "we need to get use to" has got to go. It is better to fight the enemy in the field than one's own house.
